Why should you want to seek God?

It really ought to be enough to say, “Because God is God and you’re not him.” But with so much religious confusion in the world, what needs to be emphasized by Christians and shared with the rest of the world is that God offers us the treasures that each of us not only needs, but wants. The secret to what Jesus called “life that is truly life” is found in believing God’s “great and precious promises.”

God draws and entices us to see that he loves us and wants us to experience life as he created us to live it. Everything he tells us and asks of us is for our joy and peace. He has answers for every question we face as we go through this often-difficult life, and he provides a taste of heaven that is meant to whet our appetite for eternity basking in his love.

It’s easy to get so focused on the desires, needs, problems and demands of our daily lives that we either forget about or never see that God offers us life on a higher plane. This booklet is intended to remind us to pay attention to and appreciate, and ultimately seek to experience, the treasures that are found in Jesus Christ.

My hope, for myself and everyone else, is the same as Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:18-19, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.”
