This booklet deals with the perspective that God teaches us to have about life. Being a Christian means that we have chosen to love and serve God and volunteered to obey him because we are so thankful for his forgiveness and love for us. Very little emphasis is put on this in most churches, yet having this perspective is the secret to “life that is life indeed.”

God has made it clear that we can’t have a relationship with him by virtue of our goodness. Yet it seems that most people do follow the “Do right in order to know God” fallacy. The truth of the New Covenant, on the other hand, is “Know God in order to do right.” It’s counter-intuitive for us to accept that God could or would take us as we are, with all our guilt for the sins we’ve all committed. The New Covenant is based on his confidence that if we accept his offer to forgive us and choose to love and serve him for the rest of our lives, then we will have the wonderful, joyful, amazing life as he intended and designed for us to experience it in this world.
